Job Responsibility Develop creative and functional interior architectural concepts aligned with client requirements, brand identity, and project objectives. Prepare space planning, layout proposals, mood boards, 3D visualizations, and working drawings. Translate client briefs into detailed design solutions, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and budgetary requirements. Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure design integrity during implementation. Produce detailed construction drawings, joinery/shop drawings, and material specifications for tender and execution. Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to contractors during construction and installation phases. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept through completion. Research and recommend materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fittings to achieve desired design outcomes. Stay updated with the latest design trends, sustainable practices, and innovative solutions relevant to interior architecture. Ensure timely delivery of design documentation and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders. Job Requirements Education & Credentials Bachelor s Degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or Interior Design (recognized local or international university). Professional certifications or membership with relevant boards (e.g. LAM, PAM, MIID) is an advantage. Experience & Skills Minimum 2 3 years of working experience in interior architecture, design consultancy, or design & build companies (fresh graduates with strong portfolios may be considered). Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Enscape, Lumion, or equivalent visualization/rendering tools. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, detailing, and material specifications. Familiarity with local authority submission requirements and building regulations is a plus. Good project coordination skills able to liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Strong creative and conceptual design ability with an eye for aesthetics, ergonomics, and practicality. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written & verbal). Other Attributes Team player with positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic project environments.
