- Supervise and mentor the Purchasing Officer and Purchasing Executive.
- Process purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery.
- Negotiate favorable prices, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Analyze and compare unit prices of raw materials and pigments and purchase components to secure the best value.
- Coordinate with Planning Supervisors/Executives to provide delivery schedules.
- Generate Goods Received Notes (GRNs), attaching necessary documentation (invoices, POs, PRNs) for payment.
- Source new products and identify alternative suppliers.
- Prepare and compile monthly purchasing reports.
- Develop monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
- Manage Sales and Services Tax (SST) exemptions and reporting.
- Coordinate import shipments with freight forwarders/courier services and verify invoices.
- Oversee ISO-related purchasing documents.
- Conduct yearly Supplier Performance Assessments.
- Planned and executed supplier visits/audits in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
- Manage MIDA-related documentation and renewals and monitor incoming quantities.
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for raw materials and chemicals.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as directed.
- Handle additional assignments from management as needed.
- Degree or Diploma in any field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Knowledge of either MRP / ERP / SAP systems.
