Job Description :
  • Manage client relations, schedule project activities, and oversee design projects to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Gain clients/consultants approval for drawings and designs.
  • Create, evaluate, and issue designs for numerous of applications such as crossing, MSE, retaining, and slope stabilisation.
  • Incorporate new technologies that the organisation introduces into the design process.
  • Examine multiplex engineering issues that arose during the project's design, planning, and construction stages.
  • Overcome technical obstacles by developing innovative solutions to ensure project success.
  • Give project teams expert guidance and assistance in resolving technical problems pertaining to soil mechanics, construction, and structural engineering.
  • Carry out thorough feasibility studies to evaluate the technical risks and challenges related to project implementation.
  • Minimize technical risks by proposing mitigation strategies and ensure project feasibility.
  • Review the technical feasibility of suggested design solution and suggest amendments as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate the duties of the construction and design teams.
  • Provide technical staff and junior engineers with mentorship and training in problem-solving strategies and skill development.
  • Encourage innovative and collaborative team atmosphere that helps people solve challenging technical difficulties.
  • Develop innovative solutions and resolve technical challenges by collavorate with cross-functional teams.
  • Seek input and expertise in resolving technical challenges by engage with external suppliers, consultants and industry experts.
  • Engange with technical committees, industry forums, and professional organizations to keep updated with trends and best practices in construction and engineering.
  • Assist business managers with technical matters like design documents, tender documents, and technical proposals.
  • Verify that engineering and construction deliverables meet project, corporate, and QMS and HSES requirements in terms of quality and compliance.
  • Perform routine audits and quality assurance to find areas that need improvement and make sure that technical standards and specifications are being followed.
  • Research and develop design engineering technologies to spur innovation and improve project results.
  • Discover new technologies, materials, and construction methods to enhance the performance, sustainability, and durability of the company’s structures.
  • Create a network among consultants, clients, and contractors to find project leads and business opportunities.
  • Develop specifications and propose competitive business solutions for various clients and consultants.
  • Support Business Development initiatives with technical advice and assistance, including technical presentations, proposals, and client meetings.
  • Supervise contracts and relations with partners, vendors, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Optimizing costs and benefits by overseeing budgeting and expenses.
  • Ensure alignment with financial objective and technical requirement by monitor project budgets and expenditures.
  • Provide an operational performance report and recommend improvements.
  • Verify that all production and installation activities adhere with ISO9001 and ISO14001 requirements.
  • Through continuous improvement programmes, find opportunities for process optimisation, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
  • Perform any additional ad hoc duties as requested by the Managing Director & Company.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree holder in Civil Engineering or any related field, preferably Master’s degree.
  • Professional engineering license (P.E.) or any equivalent certification.
  • Having certifications in leadership, project management or business administration would be beneficial
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably in project management and design
  • Solid experience record of successfully managing complex projects and leading engineering design teams.
  • Highly preferred to have extensive experience in geotechnical engineering solutions
  • Excellent technical problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to comprehend and resolve complex engineering difficulties.
  • Proven capability to liase efficiently with internal stakeholders, clients and consultant to provide high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Expertise in coaching and advancing junior engineers to improve team performance and capabilities.
  • Familiar with the industry regulation, standards and best practices related to engineering design and construction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication and capable to work well in multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Prior experience working in an environment of a multinational corporation (MNC) would be beneficial.
