Overview: Vorwerk Malaysia is seeking a dedicated and user-oriented individual to join our IT Team. The IT Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive IT support, implementing local IT solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of technology services within the organization. This position acts as the first point of contact for end-user IT issues, collaborates with regional and global IT teams, and ensure compliance with Vorwerk's IT security and operational standards. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES Key Responsibilities: Provide support to local end users (onsite and remote) in the area of application & infrastructure operation, along with appointed vendors and/or Group IT team according to Vorwerk ITSM process. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and standard business applications. Conduct onboarding and offboarding IT processes for employees, including device provisioning and user account management. Support for business applications to update and maintain ERP systems and e-commerce platforms. Implement and support local IT projects, upgrades, and rollouts in alignment with global and regional standards. Manage and document IT assets, licenses, and equipment inventory within the country. Provide user training and documentation to facilitate self-service and best practice adoption. Responsible for incidents, change & service management of local IT solutions, working along with external vendors to deliver best in class IT service as per agreed SLAs. Support Information Security Officer (ISO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure the local organization meets Vorwerk's compliance requirements. Participate in IT projects including application, infrastructure and security implementation to ensure meet business requirements and on-time delivery. Liaise with global/regional IT teams to align local initiatives with company-wide strategies and standards. Communicate effectively with local business units to understand IT requirements and deliver tailored solutions in a timely and cost effective manner. Identify opportunities to optimize IT processes and improve user experience in the local context. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend relevant tools or practices for local adoption. KEY INTERACTIONS & STAKEHOLDERS Internal relations: Local employees and end users, especially Sales, Finance, Marketing functions Regional & Global IT Teams especially DPO, ISO stakeholders External relations: External vendors, sales advisors REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT support or systems administration. Exposure to end user environment will be highly preferred. Extensive experience in IT Security is highly preferred. Experience in leading IT applications and infrastructure-related tasks is a must for this role Proven track record in overall IT tasks management Strong communication skills (both written & spoken) in English, ability to communicate in other local languages such as Malay, Mandarin or Cantonese will be an added advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation. Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT security best practices is preferred. Up to 20% travel is expected. Show more Show less
