Job Position – OPERATION MANAGER ( KULAI )Job Descriptions
  • Manage company's Operation, mainly in Malaysia (95%) and Switzerland (approx. 5%) within the company-Group.
  • Manage operation based on the company-Group strategy to achieve the set targets.
  • Optimize operation to become more cost efficient with streamlined processes and workflows, tools and machines to reach the defined efficiency and profit in operation.
  • Product quality and timely delivery must reach top class business standards.
  • Lead the entire operation, supply chain, warehouse and purchasing target and performance oriented with a cooperative and fair company leadership culture.
  • Managing the operation at company in Kulai, JB, Malaysia and managing important transactions related to company HQ in Switzerland to deliver top product quality on time.
  • Carry out the operation goals based on the set targets from the Executive Committee.
  • Optimiz operation and business processes to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Sustainable implementation of short, medium and long-term operation goals in coordination with the EC Management Team.
  • Environmental protection measures: Reduce waste, use environmentally friendly raw materials, etc.
  • Work close with Product Development, Product Management and QA Team to increase product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate on the annual budget planning for operation to define the operational targets and work on quarterly adjustments of the plan with the CTO.
  • Balance company expenses against incoming revenue to help maximize profits.
  • Leadership: Set motivative employee targets to achieve the operation targets.
  • Promoting the company culture that encourages top performance and reliable results.
  • Regular review and optimization of all operation processes / policies in MY and CH.
  • Manage and implement new operations standards and processes to boost productivity.
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders in the company.
  • Ensuring that important regulatory and legal documents are filed.
  • Monitoring compliance according to laws and regulations.
  • Building and manage partnerships and alliances with partner companies.
  • Supporting communication between management staff and employees.
  • Ensuring the ongoing updating and compliance with the legally required internal control system regarding operation.
  • Monitoring current operations, logistics, purchasing, warehouse management and cost development.
  • Regular reports to the company EC-Management and where needed to the local authorities.
  • Selection of new managers and key employees for operation, participation in job interviews, hiring and dismissal of employees after consultation with direct supervisors.
  • Maintenance, establishment, and monitoring of business contacts together with the sales and purchasing teams, suppliers and cooperation partners.
  • Representation of the company with suppliers and partners and where needed also Customers.
  • Development of concepts for the improvement of operation, facilities, work processes, quality assurance with the corresponding departments.
Requirements
  • Master- or Bachelor-Degree or Equivalent Education, in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations or Logistics.
  • +7 years of work experience in an international company in Asia, ideally Malaysia.
  • Work experience with European and/or USA customers / partners.
  • Experience in managing operations / manufacturing required, preferably in the medical technology sector
  • Commercial negotiation skills with management, suppliers and customers.
  • Structured, precise and efficient work methods, process-oriented thinking and acting.
  • Stress resistant, initiative, independent acting and result oriented personality.
  • Communication skills in Malay and English language (Proficiency)
  • Leadership ability, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability
  • Team player, project management, excellent time management.
  • Able to make cost, profit and financial analysis, business acumen.
  • Detail-oriented approach, decision-making ability, focus and target oriented
