The Food Rescue Executive will play a key role in coordinating food rescue operations, building relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient redistribution of surplus food to those in need. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about sustainability and making a tangible difference in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Working closely with the Food Rescue Manager to grow volume and quality of food rescued
  • Identify and target high potential donors across categories such as fruits, vegetables, FMCG, ready meals, bakery items and retailer surpluses
  • Coordinate food rescue operations, ensuring timely and efficient collection and redistribution of surplus food.
  • Build and maintain relationships with food donors, logistics providers, and beneficiary organizations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on food rescue activities, including metrics on food volume and community impact.
  • Assist in planning and executing campaigns to raise awareness about food waste and food insecurity.
  • Support fundraising efforts by providing data and insights from food rescue operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational efficiency and expand reach.
Make a real impact every dayGrow with purposeA successful Food Rescue Executive should have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (eg. Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science or Social Sciences)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, logistics, food rescue, NGO work or related fields
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for stakeholder engagement.
  • A passion for sustainability, food justice and community service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM experience is a bonus
  • Willingness to travel locally when required

  • Base salary estimated between MYR 37800 and MYR 46200, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
