- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of R&D standards, systems, and engineering processes.
- Provide strategic technical leadership and guidance across all engineering functions, ensuring alignment with product and business objectives.
- Drive innovation by fostering collaboration across design, testing, validation, and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure engineering practices adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company goals.
- Support new product development by providing technical oversight from concept to launch.
- Establish performance metrics for the R&D function and ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
- Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with other departments (Product, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing) to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend their strategic adoption where applicable.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in automotive R&D, with significant experience in technical leadership roles.
- Deep technical expertise across key automotive systems (e.g., powertrain, chassis, electronics, EV systems, etc.).
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional engineering teams and delivering innovative products to market.
- Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes, project management, and system integration.
- Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement engineering policies, tools, and systems that drive efficiency and innovation.
- Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage due to cross-border collaboration needs.
