For China Citizen Applicants Only Job Summary The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services provided by our suppliers meet our standards and requirements. This role involves evaluating and selecting suppliers, developing supplier quality evaluation systems and conducting supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement. You will monitor and improve key supply chain performance indicators, work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure supplier compliance with contractual requirements. Responsibilities Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet product and schedule requirements. Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems. Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement. Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPIs. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve supplier quality issues. Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and contributing to supplier quality improvement programs. Manage and maintain supplier performance metrics, assessment and certification programs. Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure supplier compliance with contractual requirements. Able to prioritize multiple high priority tasks at the same time. Qualifications Bachelor, Master or PhD in technical field (e.g. Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering). 3-5+ years of relevant experience in supplier quality management within the cell/batteryindustry. Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action planning. Familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with suppliers and international teams. Ability to travel as required for supplier site visits and audits.
