- Conduct periodic reviews on Trade Finance transactions to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines & regulatory requirements including AML/CFT guidelines, ICC guidelines on Trade Finance, internal bank-wide policies and Standard Operating Procedures
- Periodic Reviews of SOPs, Internal Approving Matrices, Threshold Limits, operational / business workflows and workflow improvement initiatives
- Prepare and review BIA, BCP, KORI, KRCSA and other relevant risk assessment documents
- Liaison between the Department and Country Compliance in AML/CFT matters and assist in the effort to raise awareness against money laundering and terrorism financing issues through trainings/briefings and dissemination of articles and information, where applicable
- Update staff on the latest changes in legal, regulatory, statutory requirements, internal policies and guidelines, where applicable
- Liaise with reviewers on their queries and sampling requirements and follow up on Audit Reports and other Review reports, when required.
- Conduct Pre and Post transactional reviews and random checks including verification and reconciliation of GL, reports, etc
- Handle ad hoc duties as and when assigned by Team Leader/Management
- Ensure SOP/self-assessments and other documentation reviews are conducted in line with bank-wide risk procedures and standards and timelines set.
- Ensure that the reviews, checks and verification processes are completed timely and outstanding items, if any are closed appropriately according to policies/guidelines.
- Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the organization.
- Establish and maintain close working relationship with Operations teams and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running and handling of the day-to-day operations.
- Assist the team management in overseeing the daily operations of the team and contribute towards meeting the team’s objectives
- Possess a degree
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, team player with the ability to work independently under pressure with tight timelines
- Good risk awareness and ability to understand risk procedures and processes
