JOB DESCRIPTION (STAFF NURSE)1. To prepare and assist Dr as a scrub nurse during surgery and other procedure2. To check patient VA/other investigation and assist Dr in Drs room3. Teach and guide new staff in the clinical setting and in OT4. To ensure proper handling and disposal of clinical waste and domestic waste5. To ensure enough supply for consumable items stock6. Check and record temperature and humidity in the main OT and LASIK OT daily7. To empty humidifier water waste in main OT and LASIK OT daily8. Ensure enough scrub suits and send used scrub suits to the laundry9. To calculate and order lens for cataract patients once Dr chooses the power. To ensure the lens is available/received one day before the surgery10. To clean and sterile instruments for storage and to make sure it is ready to be used when needed11. To check and record consignment lens stock and to request billing once the lens is used12. Report to the superior if any error/problem in the clinical setting and operating theatre13. Consult in Lasik and cataract treatment on pricing and surgery14. To discharge outpatient and surgery patients while ensuring correct patient, correct medication, and billing15. To apply initial GL if a patient is under panel insurance, make sure correct billing during dispensary and to apply final GLRequirements:
Proven work experience as a registered nurse.
Good knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
Strong knowledge of emergency care.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times.
A team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsible and compassionate.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Patient with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Possess at least a diploma from a nursing program.
Valid nursing license SRN with a valid APC.
Ability to converse in Mandarin or any chinese dialect is a plus.
