The Role To be responsible for the P2P end to end process - AP invoice processing, payments, liaising with suppliers, entering payment journals and assisting with month-end closing for Australia and overseas entities. Assist in the management and review of work of the accounts payable assistant(s). Support the boarder finance team and external audit process in relevant areas. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately. Major Responsibilities Work closely with internal staff in Hong Kong, Australia, and other overseas entities to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all payables, including vendor invoices, tax bills, staff claims, and government charges, to avoid penalties. Perform expense coding, allocate costs to the correct cost centers, and obtain necessary approvals before processing payments. Maintain positive vendor relationships, respond to inquiries, and resolve payment discrepancies promptly. Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company expense policies. Prepare AP reports as requested by management and ensure all accounts payable transactions are recorded accurately and on time. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure efficient month-end closing and accuracy of financial reports. Maintain General Ledgers and reconcile Intercompany Loans & Transactions. Support statutory compliance, including GST, FBT, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, and internal control requirements. Assist in managing and reviewing the work of Accounts Payable Assistant(s). Assist with annual audit processes and provide necessary documentation to auditors. Work with department managers to promote efficient workflows and foster positive cross-department relationships. Perform basic administrative tasks such as data entry and mail processing. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable function. Ideally, we are looking for someone with BC Invest operates in eight jurisdictions, the internal language of communication is English. Therefore, business level proficiency in English is essential. Degree/Diploma in Accounting and bookkeeping experience would be an advantage Strong knowledge of PC skills, including Microsoft Office Organised with good analytical skills and attention to detail Advanced written and oral communication skills Experience in accounting systems, e.g. Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite would be helpful Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
