Role Purpose Provide and support the preparation of accurate cost estimates for components, assemblies, and manufacturing projects. Apply technical knowledge and commercial understanding to assist in competitive quoting and cost analysis. Use a structured estimating process to ensure consistency and support business needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage cost estimates for business opportunities, ranging from detail parts fabrications to assemblies. Interpret 2D engineering drawings and 3D models CAD to identify cost drivers and manufacturing requirements. Develop and maintain cost breakdown structures including Bills of Material (BOM), process steps, and assumptions. Utilize historical data, parametric models, or engineering input to build estimates where limited information is available. Present cost models and assumptions clearly for cross-functional understanding. Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to gather relevant data. Support pricing activities, change management, and cost reduction initiatives. Assist in continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and knowledge bases. Participate in technical, commercial and contractual discussions when required. Benchmark estimates against actual performance to validate costing standards and identify improvements. Participate in contract and commercial negotiations as required in conjunction with Commercial team members. Represent the company at senior level customer reviews when required Develop and maintain standard templates in line with policies and procedures.
