JOB SUMMARY To assist in administration, planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring for continuous improvement of overall performance in Environmental Management and Development at Air Selangor (i.e. Water Treatment Plant, Laboratory, Pump House, Offices etc.) including environmental compliance, management systems, guidelines and procedures with respect to organizational operation and business nature at corporate and regional level. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PLAN, COORDINATE & EXECUTE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY DEVELOPMENT To assist to development and administration of environmental sustainability programs & waste management to reduce the environmental impact. To assist to review and propose specifications and standard, keep updated on new technologies related to schedule waste management, effluent treatment and air pollution control system. To assist to initiate study and research for the waste minimization, water conservation and reusable waste. (e.g. residual as reusable material, water reclamation) To assist to analyze and compile data on schedule waste and effluent quality for process PREPARATION AND MONITORING OF ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL BUDGET To assist to plan and prepare annual Environmental budget. Assist regional office in preparing OPEX and CAPEX budget related to Environmental facilities operation. To assist to monitor environment budget utilization at Head Quarters and Region. OVERSEE ENVIRONMENT PERFORMANCE AT AIR SELANGOR PREMISES (WTP's & REGIONAL OFFICES) Liaise with region's representative & staff pertaining to environmental compliance issue. To assist to oversee and monitor the execution of environmental program at regional level. To assist to monitor and assists in environmental related activities and meeting (EPMC) at regional level. Report overall environmental performance to Head of Unit Advice Head of Unit on decision making pertaining environmental compliance To promote environmental awareness including Scheduled Waste Monitoring To assist to monitor & advice on Scheduled Waste Management at all related premises in Air Selangor such as Water Treatment Plant, Pump House, Laboratory, Offices, etc. to comply Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) 2005. To assist to establish Standard Operation Procedure regarding Scheduled Waste Management including planning and evaluation. To assist to ensure all Scheduled Waste inventory reported to Department of Environment (DOE) via online reporting e-SWIS. Effluent Quality Monitoring To assist to monitor & advice on Effluent Quality management at all related premises in Air Selangor such as Water Treatment Plant, Pump House, Laboratory, Offices, etc. to comply with EQ (Industrial Effluent) 2009. To assist to analyze Effluent Quality Monitoring. To assist to ensure all Effluent reporting reported to DOE via online reporting OER. Residual Analysis Monitoring Clean Air Monitoring To assist to monitor & advice on air emission at all related premises in Air Selangor such as Water Treatment Plant, Pump House, Laboratory, Offices, etc. to comply with EQ (Clean Air) 2014. GSR Requirement To assist to monitor & advice all related premises in Air Selangor such as Water Treatment Plant, Pump House, Laboratory, Offices, etc. to comply with seven Environmental Mainstreaming Tools (EMT) Guided-Self Regulation (GSR) which has been issued by Department of Environment (DOE). Monitor submission of GSR document by all related premises. To perform any other tasks given by Managements, Head of Department and managers including preparation of Framework Agreements etc. Minimum Qualifications - Degree in Engineering or equivalent Minimum of two (1) year experience in engineering or environmental works. Exposure in water treatment plant operation and maintenance activities, or similar experiences Exposure in water related laboratory activities, or similar experiences. Exposure in consultation works regarding environmental issues. Knowledge in EQA 1974, EIA, Operation and Quality Procedures Familiar with Malaysian regulations including by law published by local authorities especially related to environmental.
