Purpose of the RoleThe role's main focus will be capturing and powerfully bringing to life strategic insights, brand messaging and proposition, creative ideas and concepts using editing skills, post-production and motion graphics. The role will help the evolution of innovative storytelling at TEAM LEWIS.Editing will include brand videos, product videos, corporate videos, interviews, case studies, event videos, showreels and social media assets. post-production will include motion tracking, motion graphics, kinetic typography, title animations, lower thirds. Creative thinking, technical knowledge, flexibility and adaptability are important in this role.Dependent on client and new business needs, the Video Editor may also be involved with EMEA-led clients, as well as with network-wide assignments.Key Responsibilities and TasksCreative Development and project management
- Edit internal videos for corporate updates, house marketing, recruitment, pitches, events, etc
- Edit client videos in accordance with project briefs and for new business pitches
- Edit stock assets or new footage shot internally
- Add post-production effects and colour grading to video
- Handle pre and postproduction editing (various formats); add 2D postproduction effects as required; motion graphics, text on screen etc
- Source and edit music that complements each project
- Assist the video team on shoots where required
- Help provide guidance and recommend solutions on emerging video technologies, such as 360 video, virtual reality and augmented reality
- Manage video projects from conception to delivery, including production timetables and costings; ensure workflow is logical and structured, delivering to deadline
- Help develop ideas for creative use of video and partner with account teams to pitch video work to clients
- Bring a high level of quality control to ensure that everything that is produced under the TEAM LEWIS name is striking, creative and professional
- Support with planning and implementing of creative projects and campaigns for TEAM LEWIS clients, developing innovative/interactive solutions
- Assists the team with management of client accounts and projects
- Ensures personal and deliverable client objectives are met on an on-going basis
- Accurately reports activity levels and regularly completes timesheets to ensure correct allocation of client duties
- Works closely with line manager to maximise own strengths, improve weaknesses and support individual and team career development
- Regularly attends TEAM LEWIS training sessions and daily press briefings to enhance skills and develop knowledge
- Supports the TEAM LEWIS APAC, local market/operations and account servicing team on ad hoc initiatives and projects
- Takes a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its identity, values and work
- Supports the HR / talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral scheme
- Contributes and supports the continuous improvement of systems, practices and policies
- At least 6-7 years of experience in a digital/integrated agency or production house
- Motion design/graphics experience is required
- Understanding of digital media techniques, videos, formats, and compressions
- Adobe Creative Cloud software including editing and animating in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects is crucial
- Professional editing experience
- Studio experience is an advantage
- Producing a variety of videos on a range of topics.
- Experience in filming using DSLR cameras and above, is not essential in the editor role but would be beneficial
- 2D or 3D animation is a bonus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work with a client (internal and external) to develop a concept and a script/storyboard
- Prepared to travel to client locations, conferences, and events for filming when required
- Excellent time management and organisational skills: proven track record of meeting deadlines and budgets
- Ability to problem solve, project manage and multi-task
- A passion for video that extends to researching and staying at the cutting edge of video filming/editing techniques and trends; connected within the creative community
