- As a hardware engineer in our manufacturing and engineering team, you will collaborate with team members and other departments to design and implement Keysight’s state of the art measurement and calibration procedures and perform analyses to set specifications for all new products during development and maintain the existing products in mass production. You will have engineering responsibility for the product design as it is released into production and beyond. - Our OF teams are multi-disciplinary, involving electrical, software, and mechanical engineers. You will be part of a product development team that collaborates closely with cross functional teams to design, develop, and test our new digital card in ICT platform.
- Maintain the production of existing products to replace EOL parts and resolve part shortage issues;
- Design the circuit and build the prototype boards based on requirements and specifications;
- Collaborate with team to test and debug the new board/product;
- Design and implement calibration algorithms;
- Characterize product performance from breadboard builds to production release;
- Manage instrument hardware and the measurement, characterization and calibration processes used during the CPE project development phase and into production.
- Design and/or modify test stations, analyze test data and make product specification recommendations.
- Create technical documentation.
- Review/Evaluate and participate in setting production line specifications based on statistical data analysis.
- Manage and guide the transition of products and manufacturing processes into production and through the entire life cycle of the product.
- BSEE with 8+ years or MSEE/PHD with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Proficiency in analog and digital circuits design (e.g. op-amp, ADC/DAC, power management, FPGA, SRAM/DDR, etc.)
- Demonstrated Experience in schematic and PCB layout design
- Strong experience in reading and understanding electrical schematics, technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions
- Demonstrated experience in coding, synthesizing and simulating Verilog and/or VHDL RTL implementations in FPGA
- Good organizational skills and the desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
- Background in hands-on debug and validation experience in a lab environment
- Self-motivated and able to take direction on high-level objectives and create/execute project plans
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and communication skills
- Knowledge of general data communication interfaces and protocols (UART, USB, I2C, SPI, JTAG, PCIe, tcp/ip, etc.)
- Knowledge of Analog and Digital measurement techniques
- Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment
- Experience of design with Intel FPGA (e.g. Cyclone V SoC) and Xilinx FPGA (Series 7) would be an advantage
- Experience with Mentor or similar CAD design tools including schematic capture and PCB layout
- Understanding of hardware, firmware, and software/hardware interactions is highly desired
