Senior Sourcing Engineer

• Manage sourcing activities for fabrication parts, standard components, modules, and indirect materials. Align supplier strategy with purchasing goals, group material demands, and assign suppliers based on capabilities.
• Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams while ensuring adherence to Zero Defect methodology and quality compliance standards.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and performance improvement projects. Maintain strong supplier relationships, support quarterly business reviews, and foster long-term partnerships.
• Conduct market intelligence and internal needs assessments to identify sourcing opportunities. Manage sourcing of new commodity codes and initiate supplier scouting when needed.
• Maintain accurate supplier records (e.g., source lists, info records), support key negotiations, improve lead times, ensure material availability, and contribute to overall supply chain efficiency.

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years in purchasing, engineering, or procurement roles, preferably involving capital equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and drive decision-making.
• Knowledge of machining processes, ability to read technical drawings, and experience leading cross-functional projects or teams.
