Job DescriptionAs a Data Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our data while enhancing internal processes through automation, optimization, and redesign. Collaborating with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment, you will leverage data visualization tools and techniques to maximize the impact and value of our data assets.What You’ll Do:

Managing external technical communication with partners and vendors.
Contributing to the enhancement of data governance policies.
Staying current with technical and industry developments.
Providing technical assistance to analysts and data scientists on data access, manipulation, and interpretation.
Troubleshooting data-related issues and proposing solutions to ensure seamless data workflows.
Assisting in the setup and maintenance of data analysis tools and software.
Working closely with stakeholders to anticipate analytics needs and quantify the impact of projects.
Collaborating with data engineering to develop and implement new analytical tools, data pipelines, and improve underlying data infrastructure.
Collaborating with data science teams to visualize model outputs and present results.
Effectively presenting and communicating analysis to drive business decisions.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and providing relevant support.
Responding to alerts, notifications, and incidents in real-time to minimize disruptions and downtime.
You will also be an integral part of our IT support operations for business continuity management.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

BS/MS in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering discipline with up to 2+ years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with data ETL from a wide variety of sources.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in pipeline and workflow management tools.
Familiarity with various messaging and stream processing.
Proficiency in object-oriented/object function scripting languages.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools.
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and its tools and services.
Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and balance speed, reliability, and interpretability.
Good working knowledge of productivity tools such as G Suite, Git, Jira, Confluence.
Experience with code versioning, code review, and documentation.
Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
Capability to select and integrate big data tools and frameworks.
Familiarity or inclination to adopt design thinking methods.
Openness to experimenting with new techniques and ways of working.
