  • Lead and manage all legal and corporate secretarial functions of the Group, ensuring alignment with business strategy and operations while safeguarding the organisation’s interests, providing strategic legal guidance, and sustaining a strong governance framework.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
  • Engage in meetings, discussions, and negotiations on legal and business matters, including due diligence, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, and financing activities.
  • Collaborate with external solicitors on all legal matters concerning the organisation.
  • Advise on a wide range of legal matters and address queries from internal stakeholders, ensuring the company’s interests are effectively safeguarded.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve legal issues arising from contracts, litigation, and other commercial matters.
  • Develop, review, and implement robust legal guidelines, policies, and processes aligned with the organisation’s business objectives.
  • Stay updated on applicable laws and regulatory developments, providing timely advice on their potential impact to the organisation.
  • Serve as the custodian of all legal documents and contracts, acting as the central reference for the organisation’s contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with the external company secretary on statutory records and compliance matters of the Group.
  • Collaborate with the external company secretary in drafting and reviewing resolutions, as well as compiling and circulating documents for the Board of Directors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law and equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in legal practice or as in-house counsel.
  • Strong expertise in corporate, commercial, litigation, and conveyancing matters.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with the capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in decision-making.
