Company & Job OverviewA rapidly growing company in Penang mainland is seeking for an experienced and strategic finance professional to lead the Group's financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing consolidated financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance across multiple entities, ensuring alignment with IFRS/MFRS standards and business objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting and group financial management, preferably within a manufacturing or publicly listed company environment.Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review the Group's consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS/MFRS.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Deliver financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes across the Group.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee cash flow planning to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective working capital management.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to optimize financial performance.
  • Provide financial reports and strategic insights to senior management and the Board.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in group finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or listed company
  • Involvement in IPO preparation or corporate finance initiatives
  • Able to speak, write, read in Mandarin.
