Job Description Overview : As the Director of MBA Centre, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the MBA Centre at XMUM. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the MBA program, ensuring its quality, relevance, and alignment with the institution's goals. Your leadership will be essential in fostering academic excellence, industry partnerships, and student success within the MBA Centre. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the objectives of the MBA Centre in alignment with XMUM's vision and mission. Take charge of designing, developing, and refining the MBA program to address present and future market needs, while upholding academic rigor and relevance. Provide effective leadership to a diverse team of academics and professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in teaching and research. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards set by the relevant Malaysian and Chinese regulatory bodies and pursue opportunities for international recognition and benchmarking. Collaborate with internal departments, industry partners, and other relevant institutions to enhance the reputation and visibility of the MBA Centre. Work closely with the Student Recruitment team to recruit students to the MBA program and implement initiatives to support student retention and success. Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for the MBA Centre, optimizing financial performance while ensuring fiscal responsibility. Implement processes for continuous program evaluation, feedback collection, and improvement, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. Drive initiatives to internationalize the MBA program, including international partnerships, exchange programs, and global learning opportunities for students. Serve as the primary representative and advocate for the MBA Centre, XMUM, at industry events, and in relevant professional networks. Requirements A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline. Significant experience (preferably 7+ years) in higher education administration, with a focus on leading and managing MBA programs or similar academic units. Demonstrated ability to provide visionary leadership, inspire teams, and drive organizational change in an academic setting. Familiarity with accreditation processes and quality assurance standards in higher education, particularly related to business schools and MBA programs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, staff, industry partners, and external agencies. Experience in promoting MBA or similar academic programs and recruiting high-quality students. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges and opportunities.
