About the role As Head of Debt Capital Markets (DCM), this role will be part of the Treasury team with primary responsibility of working closely with existing and prospective debt investors in Malaysia and wider ASEAN and to manage all aspects of DCM activities including structuring, negotiation, regulatory submission, marketing, deal execution and relationship management. The role will be responsible to set up a DCM desk in the Bank, including obtaining the required regulatory approvals, lead and grow the debt capital market franchise in Malaysia/ASEAN and strengthen the domestic presence of the bank in the DCM space. What will you do: Establishing a DCM desk in the Bank including obtaining the required regulatory approvals. Take a lead role in sourcing and managing investor relationships across multiple investor types for Sukuk / Commercial papers / Syndication financing originated by Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia and its parent Al Rajhi Bank Saudi Arabia. Lead the sourcing, origination, structuring and execution of institutional debt capital raising transactions for the Banks Corporate / Institutional customers. Preparing financial models, financial analysis, investor presentations, due diligence materials, term sheets and other transaction materials for all issuances. Take ownership of the full transaction lifecycle including investor relations, ad hoc queries, and reporting. Keep abreast of developments in capital markets, legislation and statutory requirements. Ensure that financial transactions, policies and procedures meet corporate objectives and BNM / SC regulatory requirements inclusive of related risk and exposure. Lead and originate new business mandates across the DCM product range (public and private MTNs) and work closely with units within the bank to provide bespoke solutions to customers. Building close working relationships with internal stakeholders in order to identify and execute business opportunities. Undertake client pitches through phone calls, meetings and conduct presentations using latest market trends and own analysis. Develop, oversee and be responsible for the overall execution and completion of transactions in an efficient and effective manner, and ensuring compliance with all rules, regulations and guidelines, both internally and externally. Act as main liaison person for regulatory matters related to DCM business. Ensure compliance to internal and regulatory guidelines. Set up, lead and grow the debt capital market franchise in Malaysia/ASEAN and strengthen the domestic presence of the bank in the DCM space. Skills, certifications and experience you possess: Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Banking / Islamic Finance / Business / Economic, or any related field. Possess a valid Capital Markets Services Representative's License (CMSRL). Possess a minimum of 15 years' transactional experience in Debt capital markets covering investor sales and origination, transaction structuring and execution of institutional corporate sukuk. A strong network of institutional debt investors in Malaysia and Asia. A confident personality with ability to communicate and present to senior and high-profile investors, stakeholders and decision makers. A resilient self-starter with ability to work to tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize in an often uncertain and intensive environment. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills and ability to build and maintain strong cross functional working relationships. Proven problem-solving, conceptual thinking and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and to be able to easily switch between high level strategic thinking and hands on execution i.e. preparing investor decks and financial modelling.
