- Understand and develop manufacturing processes along with enterprise resource planning (ERP) system - SAP S/4 Hana platform

- Work with cross-functional NPI teams for New Product Development from Conceptual phase through Proof of Manufacturing, Volume Production, and End of Life phases.
- Practice and promote (DFx) guidelines, Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Reliability, and Service.
- Provide feedback to design engineers during design reviews using DFx principles, best practices, and lessons learned from previous projects.
- Lead process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (pFMEA) activities
- Contribute to design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (dFMEA) activities
- Leads and transitions subsequent in- sourcing strategies if required into Operations and works closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineer for sustaining products along with Product Development and Operations internal customers to:
- Provide sustaining engineering expertise and project management of in-sourcing strategies, including sustaining production requirements, quality improvement, and project management such as product transition, cost reduction, inventory reduction, and or sourcing change.
- Execution of manufacturing quality improvement strategy through final functional verification process (Final Test), managing non-conforming parts in process (NCMR), and closed loop corrective action (CLCR)
- Development of Manufacturing Documentation, Tooling, and Test Fixtures for both contract manufacturing and
- Identify and execute on opportunities for Gross Margin improvements through Risk and Mitigation plans per PLC and sourcing strategies.
- Lead projects related to Best Cost Manufacturing and aligned with business Examples may include Insourcing, Outsourcing, and/or Cost Reductions - Value Engineering.
- Lead product ownership from Proof of Manufacturing through
- BOM Maintenance, Engineering Changes, Design Improvements, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, DFMA and DFx on NPI
- User level experience with SAP a must (SAP S/4 Hana preferred) (example modules: Material Master, BOMs, Routings, Documents).
- Min 3 years’ current experience using cad design systems (Solid Edge preferred).
- Project management experience.
- Good engineering analytical skills in order to design and build tooling and fixtures for mechanical or electrical/electronic models.
- Good organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with NPI process as direct contributor and project manager is preferred.
- Experience with DFx, DFMEA, and PFMEA
- Experience in creating and maintaining BOM
- Experience in of writing ECOs (Engineering Change Orders).
- Experience in mechanical part & assembly design and making changes to existing design in 3D
- Experience in creating and editing production work instructions and
- Experience in troubleshooting complex electromechanical
- Work independently, strong team player, detail oriented, organized, and hands-
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
- Above average fluency with Microsoft Office products
- International travel (may be required ~4wks per Actual travel duration and frequency will depend on project requirements.)
- Experience in Solidworks, SolidEdge
- Experience managing third party
- Familiar with ISO9001 requirements, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma
- Experience in a similar, highly engineered, low volume, high mix, capital equipment environment that includes mechanical, electronic, and software composition.
- Experience in process-oriented business
- BS. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Min 3 years current experience preferred, in Mechanical and automation assembly designs, including Manufacturing Engineering background using DFMA/DFx process for design and fabrication.
- Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering metrology background and product transition into operations preferred
