You will be part of the global team that develops and manages the state-of-the-art, in-house developed application used in BASF plants around the world
You will assist the Data Engineering and Application Operations Engineering teams
You will gain hands-on experience in SQL/database development and ETL tasks
You will help monitor and document relevant initiatives and processes

Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field
Able to commit to a full-time internship for a duration of 5 to 6 months
Possess a growth mindset with a strong curiosity to learn and improve
Fundamental understanding of SQL programming and ETL processes
Enthusiastic about exploring data engineering topics
Basic knowledge of SQL (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOINs)
Passion for problem-solving and developing creative solutions
Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Experience in software development, particularly in web and mobile applications
Solid understanding of the development lifecycle and agile methodologies
Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases in an added advantage
Skilled in data analysis and writing SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and update data within databases
