Test Engineer

• Develop detailed, positive and negative scenario with matching End-to-End Test cases.
• Apply testing/quality assurance (QA) techniques to identify functional and/or non-functional defects within an application throughout its entire development and deployment life cycle.
• Apply various types of testing including functional, non-functional, and maintenance testing (regression and confirmation testing) on software product.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track reported incidents.
• Perform thorough regression testing when incidents are resolved.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Log/report any defect found as incident reports and regularly following up with the development team to ensure these incidents are fixed.
• Stay up to date with best practices and emerging trends in testing tools or test strategies

• You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• You have at least 3 years experience, ideally within a Quality Assurance / Testing role.
• You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
• You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
• You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
• May be required to be on support roster.
• Preferably with experience in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Knowledge such as databases/SQL and/or scripting, will be added advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
