The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch's Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics' fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.Job Description
  • Being part of the Manufacturing IT team to establish and sustain a strong CIM environment and
infrastructure for our Final Test facility in Penang. * Working with our counterparts (application owners, application developers & suppliers) from both locally and internationally on the installation, maintaining and improvement of manufacturing applications/software to ensure the 24/7 availability of the applications which will not create any disruption to the production.
  • Responsible for the installation of new updates/patches and sustenance of all existing manufacturing applications/software (e.g. MES, XSITE, SPACE, BOPP, SBL) in the plant.
  • Responsible for the validation of the applications before the roll out of any new applications or new version of applications.
  • Conducting approval processes, application updates and application adaptation for all Software/Application in the plant.
  • Close monitoring and ensure the smooth operation of the Manufacturing Applications and software.
  • Lead the plant in problem solving regarding to incidents on Manufacturing Applications happened in the factory with application owners.
  • Ensure the IT Manufacturing are handled securely according to Bosch IT Manufacturing Security requirements.
  • Lead in projects utilizing the CIM environment that leads to continuous improvement of IT quality, connectivity and stability.
Qualifications
  • Personality: Motivated, strong in communication, cooperative in working with colleagues and external parties, assertive personality, ready to travel on occasional business trips.
  • Working Style: Independent, result- and quality-oriented and reliable.
  • Experience and Knowledge: Profound knowledge with relevant practical experience in the field of Manufacturing IT as well as semiconductor industry experience of at least 3 years; very good knowledge in office applications as well as problem solving techniques and quality methods.; basic technical leadership experience is desired.
  • Enthusiasm: Interdisciplinary thinking and interest in Leading Edge Semiconductor technology.
  • Languages: Good proficiency in English language.
  • Education: Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or any comparable studies on IT.
