Information & Cyber Security (ICS) - Graduate Programme Information & Cyber Security are part of the Technology, Transformation and Operations team at Standard Chartered. We're responsible for the Group systems, development, and technology infrastructure, as well as all client operations, ensuring the needs of our clients are at the centre of our operational framework. About the Graduate Programme Graduates who join the Technology Graduate programme will go through a comprehensive learning and development journey. As part of the Technology team in Kuala Lumpur, you will experience a 6-Week Technical Bootcamp that will equip you with the necessary skills and understanding of technology architecture, programming languages, and how banking solutions can be rapidly designed and delivered: Week 1 & 2 HTML, CSS, Bootstrap & JavaScript Conceptualise project mock-ups/wireframes Apply agile Jira usage - epic, story & task creations GIT, Nodejs, ReactJS & JSON Architect component-based UI leveraging React Week 3 & 4 GIT & Bit Bucket, Core Java, XML, PostGre SQL Develop business components (DAO and BO) Rest basics, spring boot, React, RouterRest, API development Week 5 & 6 Jenkins & VX pipeline Project implementation Thereafter, you'll be exposed to a diverse portfolio of projects within your allocated domain that will help to deliver efficiencies and automation, introduce global platforms, machine learning, and bring forth intelligent technology. You'll be constantly learning and sharing with your peers. We will help you build relationships as we recognise that your network of contacts is an invaluable asset throughout your career. Preferred skills and experience Exposure in data preparation, data modelling, query building & query acceleration (Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL, PostGre, DB2, MongoDB) Exposure to query language: SQL/PLSQL/Hibernate SQL Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Good standard of English (written and spoken) producing timely & accurate documents using the relevant business and industry specific technical language Gathering, analysing, documenting requirements and user stories questioning, challenging and proposing innovative, automated solutions where necessary. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and socialise data lineage Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Filter and clean data by reviewing dataset, reports, and data performance indicators to locate challenges and propose options for their remediation Locate and define new data process improvement opportunities Building best in class API/ ETL, workflows, DataMart, portals, reports leveraging the data available in the ecosystem Review code for quality, scalability, resilience, security, performance Active member of the Agile Scrum teams Ability to work under pressure Excellent problem-solving skills with a good standard of English (written and spoken) producing timely & accurate documents using the relevant business and industry specific technical language Curious and open-minded. Strong multitasking and time management skills Proactive and enthusiastic self-starter Positive attitude, willingness to learn and possess a growth mindset Passion, tenacity and resilience in an ever-changing environment Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to JavaScript (ReactJS, React-Redux, Node.js), TypeScript, Python Experience in working with either front end and/or back-end technologies and frameworks Experience in one or more Cloud Technologies Strong foundational knowledge of Algorithms, Data Structures, OOPs concepts and frameworks Possess basic knowledge of Azure DevOps Services (ADO) Possess basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) Eligibility We are looking for motivated, outstanding and passionate candidates to join the Technology Graduate Programme.
