Job Summary : We are seeking a driven and strategic Portfolio Manager to lead value creation initiatives across our private market investments. In this role, you will actively manage assigned portfolio companies and work closely with their leadership teams to implement strategic, operational, and financial improvement plans. You will play a key role in driving business performance, enabling M&A execution and exit readiness, and maximizing long-term portfolio value. This role offers comprehensive exposure across the post-investment lifecycle, with direct engagement with internal investment committees and portfolio company leadership. Key responsibilities also include ongoing performance monitoring, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and delivering data-driven insights to support investment decisions. Job Description : Portfolio Value Creation : Independently manage multiple assigned portfolio companies, serving as the primary point of contact for value creation initiatives. Develop and execute strategic, operational, and financial value creation plans in close collaboration with company leadership teams. Provide hands-on advisory on business model refinement, strategic partnerships, capital raising, and exit planning. Contribute to board and management discussions by offering perspectives on governance, commercial strategy, and risk considerations. Provide guidance on corporate governance, risk management, and ESG adoption aligned with best practices. Assess capital raising readiness and support investor outreach, including introductions and pitch preparation. Support M&A and exit readiness activities by assisting with data room preparation, coordinating investor engagement, and facilitating due diligence processes. Actively participate in internal portfolio reviews, deal team discussions, and investment committee meetings Portfolio Monitoring : Oversee performance monitoring and reporting for assigned portfolio companies, including variance analysis and key business drivers. Conduct regular financial reviews, KPI tracking, risk assessments, and evaluations of business plan execution. Monitor industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes that may impact portfolio performance or risk exposure. Prepare and present portfolio updates and strategic insights to internal investment committees and senior management. Internal Process Improvement : Continuously improve internal workflows related to portfolio management, value creation tracking, and exit-readiness planning. Develop and implement enhanced dashboards, templates, SOPs, and reporting systems to support consistent and scalable value creation practices. Team Collaboration : Report to the Investment Partner and serve as the day-to-day liaison between the Value Creation teams and cross-functional stakeholders, including investment, legal, finance, operations, and external advisors. Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performance team culture. Provide analytical and strategic support during investment evaluations, portfolio reviews, and other ad hoc initiatives as required Ad-hoc work & Special Projects : Undertake additional assignments or special projects as directed by Management, as needed, to support broader team or firm-wide priorities. Job Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate planning, strategy, M&A, corporate finance, or management consulting. Exposure to the venture capital, private equity, or startup ecosystem is an added advantage. Strong capabilities in financial analysis/modeling, valuation, and business analysis. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Power BI or data visualization tools is a plus Demonstrated track record in value creation, portfolio monitoring, operational improvement, and exit/M&A transaction support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.
