Description The Assistant Purchasing Manager will support the Purchasing Manager in managing procurement activities to ensure the organization acquires goods and services at the best possible prices and quality. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, managing inventory, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the purchasing department. Responsibilities Assist in the procurement of goods and services for the organization. Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of products. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Collaborate with the finance department to manage purchasing budgets and forecasts. Analyze inventory levels and assist in the planning of stock replenishment. Support the Purchasing Manager in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers. Participate in the preparation and processing of purchase orders. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that may arise. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 3-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
