Role Overview As a Senior Interior Designer , you will lead and support all phases of the workplace design process, from concept through completion, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders including designers, project managers, cost planners, and engineers, as well as external consultants, contractors, and vendors. You will: Guide and influence design direction through strong storytelling and conceptual thinking. Champion the project from schematic design to successful delivery on site. Be a client-facing representative of M Moser, establishing trust and credibility throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration that ensures cohesive and innovative project outcomes. Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented studio environment. Key Responsibilities Project Collaboration & Delivery Coordinate with the project team, including project managers, costing, construction, and technical teams, to align design intent with project execution. Participate in project planning, timelines, and resourcing discussions to ensure timely delivery of milestones. Liaise regularly with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of design and construction. Review design deliverables to maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, and constructability. Monitor and support the implementation of the design on-site, providing solutions to challenges as they arise. Concept & Design Development Develop compelling design narratives and storyboards based on client vision and project goals. Translate conceptual ideas into spatial solutions, materials palettes, FF&E specifications, lighting schemes, and finishes. Engage with costing and procurement teams to ensure design concepts align with budgetary constraints. Present design proposals with confidence and clarity, effectively communicating intent to clients and stakeholders. Stay informed about trends in workplace design, sustainability, materials, and technologies to push creative boundaries. Technical & Creative Execution Produce accurate design documentation including space plans, detail drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD and SketchUp. Demonstrate strong technical understanding of construction methods and detailing. Ensure coordination between design intent and construction documents for smooth execution. Troubleshoot design issues and provide solutions in a timely manner during the construction phase. Team Leadership & Mentorship Lead design efforts for projects of varying scales and complexity. Mentor and support junior designers, fostering collaboration and skill development. Contribute to a positive team culture based on transparency, initiative, and design excellence. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's Degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture. 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate interiors and workplace fitout. Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development through to technical detailing and execution. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and other relevant design tools. Fluent in written and spoken English; able to articulate design concepts clearly and persuasively. Detail-oriented with excellent organisational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
