Their method has led to proven successful project delivery around the world, which helps them establish impeccable reputation and are known for realizing opportunities and providing creative solutions regardless of project size, location, or challenges.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of the Site Resident Engineer include but are not limited to:Administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities of the construction of the project. Supervise the work of the members of the construction supervision team to ensure that the project will be completed as per the contract.Acting as the Engineers Representative. Direct supervision and coordination of the construction works to achieve construction in accordance with the Contract Documents. Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the construction team. Manage construction supervision, quality control, financial control, handover, and other site operations. Act as the point of contact for Contractors. Monitor progress against accepted construction schedule and review the Contractors progress reports.Manage the change procedure in agreement with the different project and construction departments. Identify specific problems that have occurred, and the proposed solutions by the Contractors, as appropriate. Participate in contract close-out activities. Coordinate with all concerned parties on all construction and/or design issues. Chair the progress meetings with the Contractor and report on issues, as necessary. Report issues, status, and progress of works on site.Education and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. Must have at least 6 to 8 years of experience in construction and/or A&A works, preferably from an electrical engineering background with experience in testing and commissioning of a high-tech project such as data centres, etc. Hands on experience will be ideal.The candidate must have a thorough understanding of Malaysia codes, building codes and guidelines, and best practices. Must have local experience in fast-track projects, preferably with a project management consultant. Needs to have comprehensive understanding of technical interface for and applicable to large-scale construction, design, programme, and budget control.The candidate must have these skills:Risk management and mitigation. Stakeholder management. Project implementation plans management. Liaison with international teams. English and Malay communication skills.
