We are looking for a Finance Intern to support the Finance Lead based in RedQ, Sepang and also Wisma Tune, KL.Allowance: RM1000/ monthlyOverview: As an Accounts Payable Intern, you will be an integral part of our Finance team, gaining hands-on experience in the accounts payable processes of a dynamic and growing organization. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in financial management, data analysis, and business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInvoice Processing:● Assist in the timely and accurate processing of invoices.● Verify invoice details, including accuracy of amounts, terms, and vendor information.● Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.Vendor Management:● Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues.● Maintain vendor files and ensure accurate record-keeping.● Assist in the onboarding of new vendors, including verification of documentation.Expense Report Processing:● Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.● Verify receipts and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.Data Entry and Analysis:● Enter financial data into accounting software with a high level of accuracy.● Generate reports and assist in analyzing data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.Month-end Reconciliation:● Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.● Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.Cross-functional Collaboration:● Collaborate with other departments, such as Purchasing and Receiving, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.● Participate in team meetings to share insights and contribute to process improvements.Ad-hoc Projects:● Assist in special projects as assigned by the Finance team.● Contribute ideas and recommendations for process enhancements.RequirementsThese are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:● Strong financial knowledge and technical fluency.● Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure.● Is a speedster and fast thinker – able to solve problems on-the-go and adapt quickly.● A team player, willing to multitask where additional help is required and communicate well with the team members.● Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides), and other useful financial software is a plus.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE● Has/pursuing a degree in Accounting / Finance or Professional Accountancy Qualification (eg: ACCA/CPA Australia/MICPA, ICAEW)● Fluency in English and at least another local language is a plus
