We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of our festivals. This role requires significant expertise in event management, organizational and decision-making skills, team-building and interpersonal skills. Looking for someone with the ability to coordinate and lead 10-17-day festivals. Someone who can keep the paperwork flowing when we're not at an event but also get their hands dirty and push the festival over the finish line on the ground. Key Responsibilities: Organize and maintain all event operations elements involved in festivals, including, but not limited to... - Managing all project deliverables within financial and time constraints and in accordance with requirements, target audience and objectives. - Organize, coordinate and manage all event operations, such as organizing venue, managing all other event details such as d cor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, special guests, equipment, promotional material, etc. - Prepare budgets and ensure adherence to it. - Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations. - Work and liaise with partners and sponsors to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction. - Integration and development of security solutions. Manage the internal Event Operations Team. Shipping equipment to/from destinations around Asia. Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers and choose the best combination of quality and cost. Payment of all contractors. Maintain our Inventory Management System. Coordinate hotel deals involving rooms, F&B, security, housekeeping, etc. Research markets, identifying event opportunities and helping generate interest for our events. Oversee hiring and additional event personnel (DJ's, Security, Cleaners, etc.) and to supervise and coordinate all event staff's activities (event coordinators, caterers, etc.) Analyze the event's success by conducting pre-and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes. Requirements Proven experience in event operations. Strong leadership, integrity and attention to detail. Adept organizational, time management and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, customer service and collaboration abilities. Skilled within MS Office and Google Suite. Significant travel is a key component of the role. - 5 to 6 times per year, 15 days at a time. - Other travel as necessary (Recces, site visits, inventory, etc.) Strong English speaker required. Proficiency in additional languages is encouraged, with a focus on Asian languages. Preferred for the role to be based in Kuala Lumpur, but open to discussion depending on the candidate.
