- Oversees the full range of Accounting & Control activities for the subsidiary, including contract management, payroll, and intercompany reporting.
- Reconciles balance sheet and income statement accounts, addresses complex discrepancies, and formulates resolutions.
- Creates and refines spreadsheets for account analysis and journal entries, ensuring organization and standardization.
- Reviews journal entries for accuracy and currency, including provisions for deferred taxation.
- Handles operational tasks beyond transactional postings, such as troubleshooting system interface issues and acting as a secondary support for accounting software issues.
- Manages inventory reconciliation and reporting in close partnership with the Supply Chain Department.
- Leads statutory audits and coordinates audit schedule planning, addressing external auditor inquiries and managing tax-related responsibilities effectively.
- Engages in special projects, such as major software updates, bringing expertise to the accounting team.
- Manages Regional & Group reporting, ensuring timely HFM submissions and works closely with stakeholders for balance sheet forecasts, budget preparations, and financial statement distribution.
- Demonstrates expertise in Accounting Standards, internal controls, and governance, educating finance teams and internal clients on accounting principles.
- Implements, documents, and oversees the adaptation of accounting systems and control procedures, maintaining a strong governance stance on expense claims and reimbursements.
- Leads, mentors, and develops the finance team, fostering strong communication with both internal and external partners.
- Supports the Finance Director in implementing various initiatives, contributing to the team's success and growth.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Background Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of pertinent work experience, with a preference for backgrounds in Retail, FMCG, or Shared Services, including at least 2 to 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Skilled in Audit, Accounting, Taxation, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional knowledge of systems such as JDE, Oracle, Workday, SAP, and/or Hyperion is required.
- Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
- Exhibits analytical thinking, attention to detail, and meticulousness.
- Demonstrates strong abilities in process and project management.
