Job Category: Banking OperationsJob Description:Job Purpose:To gain in-depth understanding of the technical, business processes and services, in order to facilitate the implementation of digitalization and automation initiatives, aligned to Group Operations' business strategy, ensuring optimal service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Technical Specialist (Must Have) * Use analytical abilities and problem solving to spot potential problems/issues in current process and to provide solution, process improvement or through automation.
  • Use programming skills, such VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Python, Pentaho Designer and any other programming language to solve the technical problem.
  • Perform technical design, development and implementation of automation using vendor's platform or open-source tools based on business requirements.
  • Continuously assessing the capability of the platform and propose new enhancement which may benefit the business in the future requirements.
Business Analyst (Good to Have) * Work closely with business users to understand and identify their pain points and challenges, conduct research and analysis in order to come up with the most effective digital solutions to the business problems.
  • Serves as a bridge between business users and developers/ IT team to ensure users' requirements are communicated clearly and accurately.
  • Conduct requirements gathering workshop to facilitate the requirement gathering process with users to produce Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
  • Review data and documentation obtained from the business requirement analysis and make changes if required.
  • Responsible for driving and reviewing deep dive analysis information into areas of user needs to best understand the current trends and existing conditions.
  • Prepare, review and finalise Functional Specification Document (FSD) and disseminate to business users for final sign-off.
  • Provide support to Unit Testing, System Integration Test and User Acceptance Test and manage the defects raised for UT, SIT and UAT.
Other responsibilities * Adheres to all applicable procedures, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements.
  • Any other responsibilities/ tasks as assigned by the management from time to time.
  • Use verbal and written communication skills to create training materials and advise other members on the best ways to use various technology to solve problems.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance and banking, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Relevant University experience in technical implementation, programming and IT projects
  • Preferable experience in data management, i.e. ETL, data enrichment and technical design
  • Exposure in a collaborative multi-disciplinary and environment.
