- Lead the development and execution of general trade strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- Propose commercial policies, programs, and customer plans tailored to the general trade channel
- Recommend sales budgets including volume, trade spending, and visibility initiatives
- Monitor performance against targets and implement contingency plans when needed
- Analyze performance of key partners and identify growth opportunities
- Define partner-specific goals, KPIs, and action plans
- Maintain regular communication and conduct business reviews with key wholesalers
- Collaborate with distributors to negotiate contracts and promotional activities
- Drive strategic initiatives and annual trade incentives in alignment with sales plans
- Ensure trade spending aligns with commercial policy, validate claims and manage financial aging reports to maintain clean records
- Submit timely documentation and approvals to facilitate payments
- Work closely with distributors to develop and implement action plans/strategies
- Monitor in-store execution and ensure alignment with national strategies
- Validate distributor data to support informed decision-making
- Monitor the actual in-store deployment at national level, follow up and coordinate with sales teams to ensure local execution is align with define plans and policies
- Ensure seamless communication with distributor and Distributor’s region field team on all on monthly activities and plans
- University degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Strong relevant experience in sales and / or trade management, in FMCG categories; sweet packaged food category experience is strong plus
- Proven track record in distributor and key wholesaler management
- Strong market knowledge of general trade and independent small merchants (ISM)
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong execution focus to drive sell-out through product availability and visibility
- Proactiveness, result orientation and ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Malay and English, written and spoken. Additionally, Mandarin and / or Cantonese is considered a strong plus.
- Advanced MS Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel across West and East Malaysia
