About The Team Our Finance department is a fundamental part of Doctor Anywhere and plays a major role in ensuring the company's financial stability. About The Role We are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager / Senior Accountant to provide accounting and finance support to the company. The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity especially in a start-up environment. You are passionate about learning new processes, keen to interact with multiple stakeholders, and take ownership for work delivered. This is an offshoring model, the role is based in Malaysia and reports directly to the Manager/ Senior Manager, Finance and supports the Singapore Finance Team. A Summary Of The Key Responsibilities Are As Follows Ensure proficiency and effectiveness in managing day to day finance operations, the full spectrum of the accounting functions (AP, AR, GL) to ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory, monthly management reporting. Working closely with the other Operations teams to ensure accuracy of data, smooth operations, and timely escalations of issues. Manage and control all receivables and payables in a timely and effective manner. Prepare the required monthly schedules/reports, example bank reconciliation. Perform Monthly Variance Analysis, explaining fluctuation against prior period / budget Analyse financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement. Assist on the preparation of audit related schedules and documentation for yearly audit matters. Assist on SG tax matters, GST and Corporate Income Tax etc. Manage, improve & develop financial accounts procedures and administration in compliance with company's policies. Contributes to the safeguarding of company assets through the maintenance of appropriate controls Identify, discuss and suggest solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation. Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned About You Bachelor's Degree with at least 7-8 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably 3-5 years of with prior audit experience in a sizable firm will be an added advantage Great analytical and interpersonal skills, with keen attention to detail and the bigger picture in mind Good work attitude, meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines Able to drive changes and with continuous improvement mentality Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow A start-up attitude - highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, pragmatic, and able to work independently when required Comfortable with ambiguity - we're a fast-growing business and there are always unchartered territories, which is part of the fun!
