Job Summary As the Intern for Motor UW, the person is required to assist and support the department in the following: Involve in overall underwriting/administration support for Motor UW team. Assist in projects and initiatives managed by Motor UW. Main Responsibility 1.Ensure risks underwritten are within guidelines Attend referrals from marketers are attended without delay. Escalate issues to underwriters for guidance Ensure approval is in place by authorized personnel with proper documentation Assist in Motor UW review to identify cases with breach of guidelines or abusive of authority given 2.Assist in Smooth Underwriting Process with SOP being followed Attend to referrals from Marketing officers Ensure UW tasks assigned are completed within target turn-around-time Involve in system related matter (Frontend and Backend system) Update of Make Model, Market Value, NCD details etc. Involve in updating blacklisted vehicle listings 3.New/Enhanced Product and system related matter Prepare policy wordings and obtain relevant approval from stakeholders Assist in drafting test plans, scripts and performing UAT to ensure system enhancement/new system feature is in order before deployment Production 4.Qualification and Experience Requirement Preferably pursuing Degree in quantitative discipline such as Actuarial, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Insurance, Risk Management etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work independently and under pressure Compliance (this is compulsory section) Ensure compliance with the requirements of local regulations and all other relevant statutory regulations and guidelines, as well as relevant Company, Regional and Generali policies and procedures. Information Security (IS): Responsible for defining requirements as regards to information availability, confidentiality, and integrity. Managers must ensure that all staff members (including temporary staff) and providers comply with the relevant security standards. Perform risk analysis to determine risk and potential business impacts. Liaise and co-ordinate with Information System Security Manager on all Information System Security activities within department. Ensure compliance on Information System Security standards and Information System Security guidelines are adhere to within department.
