Role Overview: This role is responsible for executing comprehensive testing and commissioning activities for electrical power system distribution and traction power supply systems. The position ensures that all installations meet stringent technical, safety, and quality standards, directly supporting the successful delivery and operational readiness of large-scale infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and execute daily testing and commissioning activities for AC and DC traction power supply systems, including phases such as Pre-acceptance Test (PAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), Integrated Functional Test (IFT), and System Integration Test (SIT). Identify, prepare, and verify the functionality and compliance of required testing equipment, tools, materials, and instruments. Develop detailed test procedures, protocols, and associated documentation for various system components. Review and mark up drawings to reflect as-built conditions, ensuring accuracy in documentation such as test reports, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Conduct fault analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues in electrical circuits, protection relays, and switchgear systems. Ensure compliance with the project's Quality Plan and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements during all site activities. Support the testing and commissioning team in substation equipment testing, including configuring and handling protection relays and associated systems. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure testing milestones are achieved within project timelines. Provide technical input and ensure integration of Substation SCADA, RTU, MV/LV switchgear, and other power system components. Maintain accurate records of testing activities, non-conformities, and corrective actions for quality assurance purposes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical power system distribution and testing management. Proven knowledge of AC/DC traction power supply systems, including installation, testing, and protection settings. Experience with test equipment for performance and system integration testing. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and troubleshooting wiring diagrams, schematics, and related documentation. Practical experience in configuring and testing protection relays (Schneider, ABB, Siemens, Micrologic, SEPCOS). Familiarity with PSCADA systems, substation SCADA, RTU, MV/LV switchgear, and SHE standard requirements. Strong skills in QA/QC documentation control and compliance practices. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and related engineering software tools. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in high-pressure project environments.
