Job Responsibility Key Performance Indicators Working with the conference production team to develop an understanding of the event programme Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate client needs Actively seek out new sales apportunities through cold calling, networking and social media Engaging with client on the phone and developing lasting relationships Daily management and maintenance of sales records, ensuring they are kept up to date with participants/ attendees' details Working with the marketing department to convert inbound sales enquiries into leads Achieving monthly and overall revenue targets Supporting participants/ attendees through the registration process To exchange information and give necessary feedback as and when needed by colleagues from other departments in the office To complete accurately and submit the weekly sales report sheet to your manager To ensure that business conduct reflects an enthusiastic and efficient image of the department Job Requirements Job Purpose: The Business Development Executive is responsible for the sale of tickets to international conferences and events. This is a telesales role which involves selling to high level executives in a particular industry. Delegates attend events in order to bolster their company's profile and visibility, therefore IT is the Business Development Executive's role to engage with clients and make them aware of the benefits of attending a specific conference or event. In addition to their basic salary, the Business Development Executive will earn an increased amount through commission and can potentially double their salary in a year.
