Opportunity Fadata group operates according to the Scrum principles where the building block of the system is a self-sufficient scrum team. Planning and coordinating work is based on a monthly planning cadence and then broken down to a bi-weekly scrum sprint planning activity. We operate in a 'matrix' structure with two vectors: Scrum team and Tribe leadership where reporting line of our Release Train members is directed towards a Tribe leader. Role Summary As a Tribe leader of our newly established team in Malaysia you will be the voice of the business and accountable person for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Scrum Team. The Tribe leader (assuming the role of a Product owner) is accountable for effective Product Backlog management, which includes: Developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal; Creating and clearly communicating Product Backlog items; Ordering Product Backlog items; and, Ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood. You work in a tight cooperation with Product management and Principal architects who are responsible for the Program Backlog and the Product Roadmap. You are the voice to bring clarity during priority clashes. As an organizational people leader with multiple direct reports your main mission is the well-being of our people. You can demonstrate previous leadership experience in the IT and ideally InsurTech industry. Your responsibilities Serve as the voice of the client within the scrum team Work with Product management and Principal Architects in understanding Product roadmap goals Own the team Backlog. Scope and define backlog items (EPICs to User Stories and tasks) Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation Resolve priority conflicts. Be the 'Go to' person for any business or team related matters Solve business related problems, make decisions, focus the team on the product goals. Avoid waste. Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of the product. Take the lead during Planning events, Sprint plannings and scrum rituals Promote the understanding of scrum values and agile best practices Discuss, plan, and organize individual career development strategies with direct reports Manage personal and professional conflicts Manage holidays, sick leaves, and other absence events Conduct regular personal meetings with direct reports Manage annual evaluation process Drive various organizational initiatives and activities Manage escalations Support the recruitment and onboarding processes Mentor and support our technical staff Support the generation, management, and reporting of organizational KPI's Bring the company strategy to operations Bring organizational transparency through data points Drive resource planning processes What you bring to the table Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Strong Product owner experience (5+ years) At least 5 years of people management (10+ people) experience Software engineering background is a significant plus Insurance experience/professional background is considerable plus At least several years of experience in the IT industry Scrum/Agile relevant certification is a plus Solid understanding of SDLC Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
