Position SummaryReporting to the Director of FP&A, you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis of the financial performance in APAC and be an active business partner with the other functions to drive growth and improve profitability throughout the region. Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of numbers, and reasonableness of variance explanations of actuals vs. budget and forecast; includes reporting of key findings to Asia-Middle East management and Group Accounting.Functions and ResponsibilitiesFinancial AnalysisPrepare consolidated revenues for uploading in Power BI platformAnalyze revenue variances versus prior year as well as trending, waterfalls and Top 10 clientsLiaise with account management teams on questions and changes to their client portfolioRun and maintain enquiries Power BI report from data warehouseAnalyze monthly and year-to-date shipment volumes, revenues and margins for the region including comparison between budget/forecast and prior yearAnalyze monthly and year-to-date direct and operating costs and provide trending charts and comparisons versus budget/forecast and prior yearComplete monthly average insurance claims and incidents report with trending, breakdownsPrepare new clients realized revenues versus target including realized percentagePrepare monthly and year-to-date conversion percentages for export shipments based on shipment count and volumeBudgeting/ad hocDevelopment and modelling of analysis which provides root cause/s of variancesPrepare ad-hoc analysis and variance reports as requiredAssist in month-end reporting and forecasting requirements when requiredDrive the continuous improvement, development, and implementation of financial systems when necessarySupport data and analysis for audit / fiscal queriesDigitalizationDevelop dashboards on PowerBi, connecting reports to SQL server and other databaseMaintain existing dashboard and provide training to users to learn about digitalized reportsIdentify opportunities to convert existing reports into digitalized format using PowerBIQualifications and Preferred Skills
  • At least 3 years financial analysis or accounting experience, preferably gained from a progressive MNC. Experience working in regional office an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and able to take initiative
  • Good analytical skills as well as good business acumen
  • Advanced Excel is a must
  • Experience with Essbase is highly desirable
  • Experience in Power BI is highly desirable
