The OpportunityAs a Business Analyst within EY's Digital Engineering team, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with clients, product owners, and software engineering teams to gather requirements, define solution features, and ensure successful delivery of digital initiatives. Your role will be essential in enabling business transformation through technology.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements for software engineering initiativesTranslate business needs into clear and concise user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteriaPartner with engineering leads and product owners to define solution scope, features, and prioritization in alignment with project goalsSupport agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and sprint reviewsConduct gap analysis and feasibility studies to support design decisions and technology adoptionFacilitate workshops, interviews, and user feedback sessions to refine solution requirements and improve user experienceAct as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of goals and constraintsSupport QA and UAT efforts by reviewing test cases and validating that deliverables meet business expectationsAssist in preparing documentation such as functional specifications, data mapping, and user guidesTechnology Environment (You'll work alongside engineering teams using)Frontend: React, Angular, Next.js, TypeScriptBackend: .NET Core/8+, Node.js, JavaMobile: React Native, Flutter, MAUICloud: Azure, AWS, GCPDevSecOps & Tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Selenium, Playwright, JMeterTo Qualify, You Must HaveBachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field3-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software engineering, digital product, or technology consulting environmentStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and product delivery processesProven experience in requirements gathering, business process modelling, and translating complex needs into technical specificationsFamiliarity with data structures, APIs, and modern application architectures (e.g., microservices, cloud-native platforms)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and wireframing/prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq)Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Scrum Product Owner is an advantageWhat We Look ForA highly analytical and collaborative professional who thrives at the intersection of business and technology, and is passionate about delivering user-centric digital solutions that create real impact.What We OfferEY offers a competitive remuneration package in line with your experience and contribution.
