Summary We are seeking a Global Network Lead to ensure our organization has the networking capability to support a global workforce in a rapidly evolving environment - from changing work locations to SaaS/Cloud transitions and fast-moving network technologies. This role is accountable for the technical and architectural direction of global networking services (LAN/WAN) and the operational live service, delivered through both in-house teams and third-party partners. You will guide the vision, architecture, and operational excellence of our global network, ensuring it is robust, cost-effective, and fit for purpose. Key activities include network architecture, solution design, supplier selection, capacity management, change control, incident resolution, and problem management . You will lead initiatives such as network renewal, standardization, and SD-WAN implementation , while engaging with senior stakeholders across the organization. Responsibilities Design and maintain LAN, WAN, Wireless, and VoIP network architecture to meet business needs. Create and manage the network roadmap and future solutions. Lead day-to-day network operations , ensuring proactive monitoring, maintenance, and problem resolution. Manage and develop the network engineering team and third-party service providers. Ensure service providers meet SLA and quality standards . Act as the main point of contact for network-related changes and incidents . Oversee vendor coordination and escalations . Drive process improvement within the ITIL framework . Collaborate with business units and IT teams to ensure high network performance . Qualifications 8+ years in network solutioning within global or regional organizations (matrix work culture experience preferred). Proven experience as a network architect with a strong vision for future networking in global environments. Skilled in guiding application teams on application behavior in WAN environments . Strong ability to translate business needs into technical architectures and solutions. Excellent communication skills for engaging IT management and stakeholders . Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CCVP, CCNA Wireless, CWNA, CWNP, or Fortinet . Proficient in Microsoft, Linux, and networking technologies . In-depth knowledge of legacy LAN/WAN/Wireless/VoIP technologies, including: Cisco Routers/Switches/Wireless/VoIP, Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint Firewall, Juniper Pulse Secure, RSA, Fortinet, Aruba, and Silver Peak Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or equivalent field Familiar with accreditation, certification, and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, PCIDSS etc. Proven career progression in network operations within a global, 24/7/365 support environment , from hands-on roles to leadership positions Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and adapting to emerging networking technologies .
