- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual and/or computerized systems.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
- Organize and store stock in a designated area, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and proactively alert supervisors when reordering is necessary to avoid stockouts.
- Ensure the warehouse/stockroom is clean, organized, and adheres to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient stock management and smooth workflow.
- Assist in the disposal of damaged or obsolete stock according to company procedures.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks or pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom or warehouse, implementing efficient storage systems and labeling procedures to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy retrieval of items.
- Monitor stock levels regularly, conducting cycle counts and physical inventories to identify discrepancies, prevent stockouts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Prepare and process orders for internal departments or external customers, picking, packing, and labeling items according to established procedures and ensuring timely dispatch.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload stock, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining equipment in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, and returns, using manual or computerized inventory management systems to track stock levels and generate reports.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and optimize stock turnover, minimizing obsolescence and maximizing profitability.
- Dispose of damaged or obsolete stock according to company procedures, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the stockroom or warehouse, adhering to health and safety regulations and promptly addressing any hazards or safety concerns.
