- Ensuring that the manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently based on production capacity and demand from customers.
- Engage in continuous improvement of safety culture in TDS-related activity/areas.
- Maintaining 5S at workplace
- Ensuring the statutory requirements of the TDS-related activities.
- Being the coordinator for the continuation of fulfilling customer demands.
- Production Scheduling: To develop and maintain an effective production schedule. This involves analyzing various factors such as demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capabilities to create a plan that optimizes resources while meeting customer demands.
- Coordination with Various Departments: Work closely with multiple departments, including supply chain, production, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure that all necessary materials and resources are available for production. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across different functions.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing inventory level; needs to ensure that raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods are adequately stocked to prevent any disruptions in production.
- Data Analysis: Use data and trends to proactively address future challenges and avoid delays.
- Problem-Solving: When unexpected issues arise, such as equipment failures or supply chain disruptions, production planners must quickly devise solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. This requires strong analytical skills and the ability to think on one's feet.
- To convert firmed planned order into process order for production, packing and loading activities.
- To do production and filling planning at planning board for Detailed Planning and Scheduling (DPnS).
- Responsible to maintain and update recipe and production version (PV) in the system for existing and new products.
- To investigate stock discrepancies and work with production controller to maintain stock accuracy.
- To issue Material Request Form (MRF) to Warehouse Team in daily basis.
- To ensure that the batch size and raw material quantities are accurate and current, it is essential to collaborate closely with the Process Engineer.
- Responsible to check and arrange OMP sample to customers.
- Implements the fulfilment of TDS requirements prior to introducing the new raw materials to the plant.
- Assists in RCA and investigations for TDS-related concerns.
- Implements Safety, Health and Environment system in the workplaces concerning employees
- Performs SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) / Responsible Care / Cleanliness of the laboratory (5S) / discipline activities for improving the BASF's safe work culture.
- Acknowledges the adherence of PPE while being in the plant.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain/ business administrative/ engineering/ science
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in production planning and scheduling preferably in Chemical industry
- Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Detailed oriented and ability to multitask
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Proactive Problem solver: Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines and solve problem proactively
- Good knowledge of computers: SAP, well-versed in using MS Excel for production planning tasks
- An effective communicator and team player to work cross-functionally
