Steam Engineer (Bintulu)

• Manage & operate a boiler house in a safe, economical and reliable manner;
• Manage, coordinate and monitor boilers activities, maintain equipment and the group of boiler men perform duties given.
• Responsible for daily optimization of the steam boiler operation with respect to plant load conditions;
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of the boiler, boiler house and auxiliary equipment;
• Provide technical analysis and troubleshooting skills in resolving any abnormal conditions of the equipment under his / her care;
• Involve in DOSH statutory inspection on steam boilers.
• Ensure the boiler, factory operations are in compliance with Government Statutory requirements including but not limited to fired and unfired pressure vessel
• Recruit, train and organize an operating team to operate, maintain a trouble-free steam boiler and equipment
• Implement a maintenance control system to achieve effective and productive maintenance of the machine.
• Initiates and plans for improvement of working system and quality
• Plan & prepare yearly plan & budget / capex
• Ensures safe working procedures, environmental and good housekeeping.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical or related
• Registered as a Steam Engineer with DOSH (Grade 1 or 2)
• At least 3-5 solid years of working experience in the operational and maintenance aspect
• Mature and good leadership skills.
