Job Responsibility Brightstar Computer Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Retail Merchandiser Executive to enhance our in-store presence and drive sales for a designated product category. This role is a critical link between our head office, branch locations, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, responsible for optimising product presentation, analysing sales data, and training our retail teams to achieve sales excellence. Key Responsibilities In-Store Merchandising & Monitoring: Conduct regular visits to all Brightstar Computer branches nationwide to ensure optimal merchandising, stock levels, and brand presence for the assigned product category. Monitor and report on in-store execution by documenting merchandising displays through photographs and detailed checklists. Sales & Performance Analysis Compile and analyse weekly sell-out data to generate insightful reports on product performance, market trends, and competitor activity. Use data to identify opportunities for growth and potential issues at the branch level. Strategy & Promotion Develop and propose effective promotional strategies and in-store marketing campaigns in collaboration with management to achieve sales targets. Liaise and negotiate with product vendors to secure attractive promotional deals, marketing support, and favourable terms. Coordination & Communication Act as the primary liaison between company management and branch teams, effectively communicating strategies and gathering feedback to improve customer experience and maximise product sell-through. Training & Development Plan and deliver engaging product knowledge training and sales techniques to retail branch sales representatives, empowering them to sell more effectively and confidently. Work Schedule This position operates on a rotational schedule designed to balance fieldwork with office-based planning: Week 1: Dedicated to branch visits and fieldwork nationwide. Week 2: Based in the head office at Plaza Low Yat, Kuala Lumpur for reporting, vendor meetings, strategic planning, and administrative tasks. Job Requirements This role requires a mix of people skills, business skills, and personal discipline. Communication & Negotiation: You must be great at talking to different groups of people. This includes coordinating with your managers, training branch staff, and negotiating with product vendors to get the best promotional deals. Data Analysis: You need to be comfortable with numbers. A key part of the job is looking at sales data, creating weekly reports in MS Excel, and figuring out which products are performing well and why. Strategic Planning: This isn&apost just about following instructions. You are expected to think creatively and develop strategies for in-store promotions and marketing campaigns to help meet sales targets. Training & Presentation: You will be responsible for teaching retail staff about the products. This requires you to be a confident presenter who can explain product features and sales techniques clearly. Independence & Organisation: Because you will be on the road one week and in the office the next, you must be highly self-motivated and organised. You&aposll need to manage your own schedule, travel plans, and reports without constant supervision.
