The Role ResponsibilitiesJob RoleManager, Risk Initiatives, Insights and Analytics is a pivotal contributor to advancing data driven risk management providing top-tier analytics support for TTO CIO Risk Management space.The role involves delivering the implementation of innovative data strategies and contributing to the team’s commitment to excellence, requiring an experienced professional with proven experience in delivery of best-in-class results in the realm of risk analytics especially around Technology Risk Management.Key Responsibilities
  • Operationalise and deliver Risk insights and Analytics initiatives within CIO Technology Risk.
  • Oversee, challenge and support the execution of ongoing delivery and actively pursuing opportunities to extend risk initiatives and control improvement.
  • Provide SME support on delivery of key strategic initiatives and deliverables in TTO CIO Risk Management.
  • Develop and improve management information and metrics to provide comprehensive view of the risk matters to CIO.
  • Support and drive the Risk Analytics Book of Work.
  • Improve client experience in better management of risk profile across the CIO area by way of improved risk dashboard, providing self-service where possible.
  • Continuous monitoring of risk and control performance to identify opportunities to improve overall effectiveness of control operations across technology processes while driving process and risk simplification agenda.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with CIO Risk Managers, CIO first line and second line (where relevant) to provide required data and analytical support.
  • Support the implementation of business intelligence and analytics solutions to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of TTO CIO Risk Management.
Strategy
  • Supporting a data driven insight and analytics culture for driving Risk Management within TTO CIO Organisation.
Business
  • Critical partner to TTO CIO First line in delivering actionable insights and data / analytics-based solutions to Proactive Risk Management.
Processes
  • Support CIO Risk Management team with risk insight and analytics for proactive risk management.
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure risk related deliverables continue to meet business and operational needs.
  • Timely escalation to the management for any perceived risk identified based on data analytics.
  • Establish and maintain sustainable and scalable process of the data quality validation and dashboards to support risk MI.
  • Challenge status-quo by driving operational efficiency and process improvement through identification and elimination of unnecessary procedures and driving further automation where appropriate.
People and Talent
  • Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance the quality and timely delivery of agreed book of work.
Risk Management
  • Understand the Bank’s regulatory framework and regulatory requirements / expectations.
  • Learn and understand the Operational Risk management framework as well as technology process, Risk, Control and measures.
  • Support and drive development of the ongoing and periodic monitoring of risks mitigated to identify if risk mitigation actions taken have been effective. Develop MI to provide senior management with a view of the reduction of risk over time.
Governance
  • Provide constant challenge to increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency and where appropriate, follow up in proposing, developing and implementing changes using business intelligence and analytics.
  • Provide timely and accurate data analytics / insights to key stakeholders.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Support CCIB, CPBB and Functions CIO Risk Management to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Risk and Control, or other relevant areas.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise.
  • Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment. Be transparent and open around what doesn’t work and what does.
  • Good communication and technical report writing skill across various types of target audiences.
  • Excellent understanding and proven track record of implementation of solutions using Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
