About the Job Establishing, developing, maintaining and servicing broking business and discharging all related administrative duties. To develop broking business through new and existing brokers To maintain existing business through effective regular monitoring and servicing Be an effective contact for brokers in relation to all matters i.e. underwriting support, claims and processing To carry out preliminary underwriting and develop quotations within the Underwriting acceptance authority according to GEGM Underwriting Guidelines To ensure efficiency of work and timeliness of documentation To ensure accounts and statements are up to date To carry out any other work assigned from time to time To provide excellent and professional customer service To adhere to AMLA provisions and all other applicable policies and compliance matters concerning GEGM and the Great Eastern Group and be vigilant to uphold these in the discharge of duties Be able to carry out work independently, efficiently and proactively Be able to produce work in a timely, competent and professional manner Be able to communicate well and maintain cordial relationship with brokers and other parties Be able to develop new business and expand existing business To continue to expand insurance and technical knowledge and skills Develop and increase business under portfolio as determined by the department Control and minimize outstanding premium and unreconciled credits to ratios accepted by the department / company Respond to queries, quotation request, etc. within timeframe Ensure that document processing is completed within timeframe established by the department or company As and when required on others duty As part of the leadership team, work with key stakeholders to proactively shape the organisation's culture and conduct environment that is aligned to the organization's Core Values Champion culture and conduct behavioural expectations within the Department/Division. Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks. Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company. Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices. We are looking for people who Min preferred Diploma or degree (AMII, ACII) 5 to 8 years working experience in general insurance of insurance at least 3 years being involved with brokers Communication and customer relations skills Basic underwriting skills, computer knowledge Survey and risk evaluation skills All general insurance product features and underwriting knowledge, Revised Fire Tariff and Fire Tariff Basic surveying (simple fire and burglary risk assessment) Brokers servicing and management strategy, skills and personal approach Demonstrates alignment with the organisation's core values through expected behaviours High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
