The work we do here matters.Department Overview The Product Procurement Team works with the Business, Engineering and other critical functional teams to create and execute the product outsourcing strategy. The team source and manages a pool of qualified suppliers to support our business' outsourcing needs.Job DescriptionScopes of Responsibilities / Expectations:Developing and implementing category strategiesManage the supplier relationship, contracts, performance, and risk managementPlanning and executing effective negotiation process with suppliersLead RFQ and Sourcing board / supplier selection activities for new productsReview and track Product pricing for new products and production kitsDriving cost reduction & vertical integration activities in concert with the Suppliers, Supply Chain, and EngineeringResponsible for creating, negotiating, completing, and governing all contractsLiaising with the Supplier and various internal functional teams on the day to day operations (pricing, contractual, liability exposure, and/or delivery issues)Reviewing and analyzing procurement reports#LI-MHBasic RequirementsRequirements:Candidate must have minimum a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalentStrong contract negotiation skills and understanding of key commercial terms and conditionsGood understanding of total product cost models and structuresProficiency in working with Google & Microsoft Platforms (Gmail, Google Siles, Google Sheets, Excel, etc.)Excellent communication and people skills to work with various levels of management and functionsStrong leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentEnergetic, Positive, and a Team PlayerCandidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang#LI-MHTravel Requirements Under 10%Relocation Provided NonePosition Type ExperiencedReferral Payment Plan NoEEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
